My Journey
Over the past three decades, I’ve had the privilege of teaching, coaching, and learning alongside students and educators in a variety of roles. I’ve been a classroom teacher, an ESL Lead Teacher, an instructional coach, a university instructor, and now a Literacy Learning Partner with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.
Each role has given me a different perspective on teaching and learning, but they’ve all reinforced the same belief: meaningful professional learning happens when research meets the realities of the classroom.
Whether I’m facilitating professional learning, writing, or presenting at conferences, my goal is always the same—to help educators translate evidence-informed research into practical, classroom-ready ideas that make a difference for students.
